Developing the Future in Nature

The pace of urbanization has become uncontrollable, destroying immense amounts of land and for some of us almost completely severing the connection we once shared with our natural ecosystems.

As we try to keep a piece of nature in our lives with house plants, herbal remedies, weekend retreats and community gardens, we can’t help to see the lack of accessible, long-term solutions.

Paledora is dedicated to overcoming these challenges by creating affordable and meaningful opportunities for people to settle and thrive in nature while preserving land from destructive growth.

Aldo Leopold's Land Ethic philosophy argues that our environment should not be preserved for the individual importance of its components but instead for the value they create as a whole.

Guided by his theory, Paledora presents a comprehensive approach to land stewardship in which the earth, animals, insects, plants and humans all deserve to be equally considered and guarded as a complete ecosystem to everyone and everything’s benefit.

Our goal is to provide the tools for individuals and communities to reacquaint themselves with natural habitats and to adopt the role of land guardians. This way we can rekindle a symbiotic relationship with our ecosystem and save virgin land from destruction.

How We Fulfill Our Mission

While our expertise allows us to engage with projects at any phase of development, let us guide you through our process of fostering accessible and meaningful solutions for jungle living, from inception to fruition.

LAND

Scout, explore & secure at-risk-virgin land under threat from rapid city expansion in idyllic paradisiacal locations.

DESIGN

Design recreational, educational, and residential structures in modular units, incorporating rustic elements to blur the lines between inside and outside.

BUILD

Construct low density, multi-purpose houses that consider the natural landscape and its inhabitants, and strike the right balance between comfort and wilderness, inviting guests to settle for days, months or even years.

HAND OFF

Deliver the project to organizations, land trusts and communities with collective ownership systems, who wish to anchor themselves or a conscious business on virgin lands. Where every member also serves as a land guardian and individual steward of this space.

What Makes Us Special

Our frameworks, models and values that define how we work.

THE FUTURE IS:

SEMI NOMADIC

and will require different living & ownership structures to create a "home away from home" experience, ultimately without the reliance on a single residence.

LOW DENSITY

in order to foster as much close contact with nature as possible, homes will have organic and rustics designs. Financial accessibility will be the key factor in defining how much we will be able to fully restore our relationship to land and nature.

COLLECTIVELY OWNED

to accommodate semi-nomadic lifestyles, affordability needs and shifting mindsets. Innovative multi-owner models will empower each individual to share responsibility for stewarding the land, regardless of their full-time ownership status.

Paledora’s Future Living Incubator

All projects are considered to be ‘living labs’ that develop solutions for responsible wild land settling.

By leveraging proven eco-frameworks, Paledora incubates projects that foster connections between communities, and nature through Future Eco-Village Living, Eco-Resort Hospitality, Eco-Campus Edutainment, and Rustic Eco-Camps.

We pledge to keep idyllic, wild places beautiful to dispel any harmful projects from taking place. By turning the traditional real estate model on its head, Paledora’s ecosystem challenges communities to prioritize conservation through collectivism and social innovation.

By reconsidering the disadvantages of traditional real estate development, our models are designed for communities and their projects to thrive while protecting land and providing social value.

ECO-VILLAGE

This ecosystem is built out of: semi-nomadic or time-shared residences, social businesses, work & academic shared spaces and usually natural wonders. They often include a living lab to ensure the latest low & high tech innovations are integrated consistently into the community and infrastructure. Strategically situated in accessible locations, these Eco-Villages offer a holistic living solution for residents to be entirely in nature.

ECO-RESORT

Whether as part of an Eco-Village or as a standalone venture, this hospitality-first framework plays a pivotal role by inviting individuals to experience the benefits of living in nature. Centered around themes of health, ecology, movement, and spirituality, these spaces unite diverse guests with local stewards, fostering a cultural bridge and shared understanding that these natural spaces are essential to our survival and deserve preservation.

ECO-CAMPUS

These community-centric hubs are designed for educational content, co-working, co-living, research, trainings, incubation and more. They can operate as stand along or as a component of an Eco-Village. While Eco-Resorts demonstrate the benefits of being in nature during restoration, Eco-Campuses highlight the extent to which nature can accelerate our learning and enhance the purposefulness of our work.

ECO-CAMP

On land that only permits temporary structures or in cases of displacement, Eco-Camps are created for visiting communities to experience complete natural immersion. Whether for residential use, time-based projects, or experiential hospitality, this versatile framework facilitates the rapid creationg of low-tech solutions and mindset shifts.
